Lynn Hoefgen has over 25 years experience in the energy sector. He is the Founder and President of Nexus Market Research, a firm specializing in marketing research and evaluation related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and the environment. Lynn is personally involved in all research phases, from planning and research design to focus group moderation, data analysis, report writing, and helping clients implement results. Before founding NMR, he established and lead the Energy Practice at Opinion Dynamics Corporation. He holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Florida.

Tim Pettit, a Vice President at Nexus Market Research, has 15 years of professional experience in market research, market data analysis, and program evaluation. Mr. Pettit's career has included significant experience working with federal government agencies on market research and program evaluation projects in the energy and environmental fields. Currently, Mr. Pettit consults for the national ENERGY STAR program, conducting a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects in the residential and commercial sectors. Mr. Pettit's evaluation research expertise also includes clean and renewable energy, K-12 energy education, and targeted communications and branding issues. He holds a Masters degree in Natural Resources Economics from Duke University.

Greg Clendenning is a Project Manager with Nexus Market Research. Dr. Clendenning designs and conducts self-administered mail and web-based surveys, in-depth interviews, and environmental policy analyses. He directed an evaluation of the EPA's "Change a Light, Change the World" 2006 promotional campaign, monitors and tracks participation in the Connecticut Clean Energy Option program, manages an annual survey on public awareness of and attitudes toward renewable and clean energy, and conducted statistical analysis of prices of compact fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs in Massachusetts. Dr. Clendenning served in Togo, West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer. He holds a Ph.D. in Forestry Ecology and Management from the University of Wisconsin.

Tom Mauldin is a Senior Project Manager with Nexus Market Research. Mr. Mauldin manages process evaluations, impact evaluations, and market assessments. He recently served as the project manager of process and impact evaluations of the Efficiency Maine Residential Lighting program and Low Income Appliance Replacement program, as well as the Commonwealth Edison CARE lighting program. Tom has an extensive background in designing, implementing, and analyzing CATI surveys, and has conducted in-depth interviews with a wide variety of market actors, including implementation contractors, retail store managers, and building contractors. Mr. Mauldin received his Master of Science degree in Ecology & Environmental Sciences from the University of Maine.

Susan Oman is a Senior Project Manager with Nexus Market Research. She is responsible for the management, design, and analysis of research projects at NMR. Susan has 20 years of experience in the energy field and has worked extensively on projects relating to energy efficiency and renewable energy, with particular expertise in energy-efficient lighting programs and technologies. She has conducted a range of market research and market evaluation projects in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Susan holds a Masters degree from Boston University's Center for Energy and Environmental Studies.

Betty Tolkin is a Senior Project Manager with Nexus Market Research. Her areas of interest include energy-efficient new construction, appliances, lighting, and green buildings. Evaluation experience includes process evaluation, market analysis, and estimation of market impacts, including free-ridership and spillover. She has extensive experience in commercial/industrial and residential survey development and administration as well as in-depth interviewing of key actors in various energy efficiency and renewables markets. Ms. Tolkin is the project manager for NMR’s multi-year evaluation contract for the Massachusetts’ ENERGY STAR Homes Program. As such, her recent work focuses on efficiency issues relating to residential new construction, multifamily developments, home buyer awareness and choices, and builder motivations and practices. She holds an MBA from Boston University.

Lisa Wilson-Wright is a project manager with Nexus Market Research. Dr. Wilson-Wright has extensive experience in the use of quantitative and qualitative research techniques to help inform energy efficiency and environmental policy. This includes designing and conducting surveys, in-depth interviewing, and program analyses. Her research efforts include developing statistical models to explain market penetration of ENERGY STAR appliances, assessing energy-audit programs, and evaluating low-income weatherization programs. For her post-doctoral research, she facilitated collaborative environmental monitoring and evaluation programs in partnership with the U.S. National Forest Service. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin.
