Recent Projects

Tom Mauldin recently led a successful competitive effort to conduct Residential Market Sector Assessment and Baseline Studies for New Construction and Existing Homes for the Vermont Department of Public Service. In this project, NMR will estimate current energy usage and assess the opportunities for and barriers to improving energy efficiency in the existing home and new home markets in Vermont, in order to support energy efficiency planning.

Tim Pettit is directing a recent project awarded by the Northeastern Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) to assess the Feasibility of Developing a NEEP Regional Evaluation Measurement & Verification (EM&V) Resource Center.

Susan Oman, Lisa Wilson-Wright, and Lynn Hoefgen are conducting multiple research projects concerning residential lighting in New England, including a CFL Persistence Study (or measure life) in all six New England states, a Market and Impact Study of Residential Retail Markdown Lighting Programs in four New England states, and ongoing Market Progress and Evaluation Reporting on the Massachusetts Lighting Program.

Betty Tolkin and Lynn Hoefgen are in the sixth year of conducting Market Progress and Evaluation Reporting on the Massachusetts ENERGY STAR Homes Program.

Lynn Hoefgen is working with RLW Analytics in assisting the California Public Utility Commission in an Impact Evaluation of the New Construction Codes and Standards Programs.

Greg Clendenning and Tim Pettit are in the third year of Measuring and Evaluating Public Awareness and Voluntary Market Development Initiatives for clean and renewable energy investments by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund.
